What did I do?

This morning we delivered and setup his bed, couch, end table, lamps, and some of his clothes. I sprayed the bed frame for bed bugs (with Temprid) just to be safe. I did the paperwork. I got a call from the behavioral place wanting authorization to release him. Then we went home for a while.

We came back a couple of hours later and he was outside his room in front of the TV with his hand over his eyes (asleep).

We walked by him and he did not notice us. I adjusted the A/C to be a bit warmer for him. When he noticed us he asked "what are you doing here?" We told him we were setting up his room, and this was his new place (he looked disappointed). While I was doing something else he asked my wife "What did I do?" I told him he had been fighting with people at the old place and he hurt one of the care givers. He said "I did!?", "I don't remember that..." He was really confused about this.

My wife was shaving him and talking about him getting his haircut from his jewish barber and what a good job they did. When she went to do something else he said to me that yesterday when he got home (he did not) Char talked to him about his jewish barber and what a good job he did cutting his hair... Char is someone he hasn't seen in about 8 or 10 years.

Later while my wife was doing stuff in the room I was watching him and he would sit there with a 1000 yard stare for quite a while and then suddenly look around like he was all there for a couple of seconds, then he went back to the 1000 yard stare.

Another time we were sitting on his couch and he was in the wheelchair and he looked like he was asleep, his eyes were closed and his head was tilted down, and (just like a dreaming dog would do) his legs started twitching like he was walking or something, then he started moving his hands like he was manipulating something. All of a sudden his eyes opened and he looked at his hands with the most astonished look on his face, he turned to us and said "HA! I could swear I was holding something!".

We then pushed him in to the dining room so he could watch TV with the other people there, and left.

CUT! Take II

Bob has been accepted in to another facility. We will be moving some of his stuff tomorrow.

That was pointless

We went to the staffing today, we were barely there 10 minutes for the actual meeting. They talked down to us, said he did not have any behavioral problems and would not re-evaluate his meds.

They plan on releasing him as soon as we have a place to put him.

We finished moving him out of the apartment this morning.

Homeless man

Bob has been kicked out of the memory care facility because he hurt one of the staff. He is still in the behavioral health facility for now.

Zombie man

Bob is back in a behavioral hospital again, he was sent there several days ago for being a dick.

We visited him today, he was in a stupor, sitting in a wheel chair. He has no idea why he is there. His nurse says he has been pretty compliant but does not have much of an appetite.

We did not stay long.

Ramblin' man

I got a call from the memory care place today, Bob fell again, he was alone in his apartment all the staff could get out of him was that the floor moved out from under him....

He is having diarrhea YAY! I told them to check that the precious had expired since it has been a couple of weeks.

He has been getting his meds and he is acting kind of dopey and subdued (which is good). We stopped by tonight and brought him some shirts and a magazine. Then he started talking, a few minutes in to his monologue I recorded about 10 minutes of it. Here is the transcript minus whatever my wife asked him and his responses:

"but it's so stupid, yi yi, I always have a hard time figuring out... I don't like that, uuuuhhhh, cuz of the fact that, uuuuh it, it's a extremely bright light, I don't like really bright lights, so, but uuuhh, so but other than that... uuuhhh it makes it easy for me, and... oh and the other thing is uhm... when they uh... when the, the, uh... it's uh, uhm uh, Kxxxx has bought uh, new shirts, but the problem is, uhm... the the the THE shirts, uh, I don't know why they did it this way, but they got the damn thing set up uhm, That thing is so damn bright, and uh... I like it, and then now that I've got the big stack of books over there, uh that turned out to be a lot better. I put them over there so they are out of the way, and uh I always need shirts... and uh, but that's fine, so I am uh... what's interesting is that uh.... uh... this is uh, uh, northern pacific, and uh, it's, it's, got really neat pictures in it and so forth. but one of the things I discovered was... uhm... a uhm, well when I, I always leave this off and uh... The reason I always leave it OFF... is because, it's so bright, it actually, it bothers my eyes... I'm very light sensitive, it's uh, but they're good shirts... but it's also cold in here right now... and it's because uh, well the problem is... uhm some how I don't know how they're doing it, they're always, uh... this thing hangs down, and the problem I have with it... is, is that i i i it makes it real hard for me sometimes, sometimes even to look at the damn thing... so whatever, so, but this is a really good book, because uhm, and and and this is the north coast limited, and they usually uh, usually will have uhm, at least three deisels uhm, so... it irritates me because of the fact that i i i uhm it is so bright and I don't need a really bright light, and so... what I do is I, just I go in I, I've only had this thing about a week, they're still shots but they're nice. but this is uh, the, the, the book is uh... really nice book, uh, uh, I've got several other ones, and uh, uhm, so it makes it really nice, I think I've got, I don't know how many I've got, I think I've got six or seven, The only thing I don't like about it is, is because uhm... I'll be sitting here, and uh... and all of a sudden uh, I'm sitting here reading the book and I can't see the damn pages, because of the fact that uh, I don't know how they did it... I get so, get so damn mad... because of the fact I get blinded by it...so and it's really hard to figure out ha ha ,what the hell I'm supposed to be doing with the damn thing... Yeah the problem is the damn thing is stupid... the way it's set up though... because uh, uhm, you know, I won't, I REFUSE TO turn that on... other than the fact that I'm going to sit here and read. so, but uh, it's kind of neat, the uh this is uh, uhm uh the northern pacific, and uhm, the thing that makes it interesting, is that uh, they're really nice pictures, really GREAT pictures, and uh, fall and the pictures and so forth, and uh, this is the, this is the train, and it's called the north coast limited, and the north coast limited, usually got three or four deisels and, and of course it's all uhm, most of it, well it's basically all freight cars, but it's a pretty good thing... so it's uh I really like the magazine, uh, actually it's really not a magazine, HA! This book is about, the books got to be about... uh, I think it's a total of uh, uh, Oh all I know is uh, that's a lot of pictures they're all in color, it's really neat, the really strange thing about it though, what really makes it strange, is the north coast limited, uh........." and so on for the next half hour.

No more Precious

The wife delivered the precious yesterday. However it will be the last time Bob gets the precious. He is still pissing in the sink and being generally obnoxious. He now wets the bed and doesn't want to be woke up to use the bathroom. he also generally pisses himself and doesn't want to change his clothes when they find out.

I spoke with the Psychiatrist. She recommends depakote. She also told me that he is on percocets 3 times a day for back pain. I told her I was quite ok with medicating him.

I told her that I think he is having another "episode", which means he is probably having small strokes.

Bob won't be getting the precious anymore because of his pissing in the sink and also because in 2 weeks he only drank half a gallon.

More Bullshit

We went to Bob's apartment today, we delivered the precious. I had to have a talk with him, meaning I had to yell at him. He's been peeing in the sink, threatening people, and complaining about the food.

I told him that if he hits someone or gets too beligerent that they will kick him out. If they kick him out he won't find a better place to live and he will be even less happy.

I don't know how much any of this will stick.

I told the staff that I am more than willing to have him "drugged to drooling" if needed. Heck even some medical marijuana might calm his happy ass down!

What a Pisser

Delivered the precious today. We talk to one of the staff who told us that Bob is emptying his pee jugs in the kitchen sink, and for some reason splashes it everywhere. He refuses to empty them in the bathroom because that would be the best and cleanest way to do something.

They are having trouble getting him to shave. My wife had him shave while we were there. We were told that he really packs the food away. They serve him last and basically give him all the leftovers. They said when he first was there he would Helen Keller off of other peoples plates. They also said that even if he complains about the food he eats ALL of it.

The return of Captain Pissnmoan

Went to deliver the precious to Bob this weekend. He told my wife he was out and that he had not had any chocolate milk in a month.
He still had about a fifth of a gallon.

He must be on his period as he has been bitching about the food, and the people who work there. All of them are stupid. One of the attendants said that he will put him in his pajamas at night and some time after that he will change back in to his regular clothes and sleep in them.
He says he hates the male attendant. Oh well, too bad. I hate when I have all my needs met and people to take care of me. I'd rather live in filth and squalor, eat only hamburger patties for all my meals, and be surrounded by crap.

Spending Down

Bob has put on a little weight since he moved in to his new digs.

We bought him some flush-able moist butt wipes, and a fan since his old one broke. I had to order him several pairs of pants online because his size is considered "big & tall".We also delivered the Precious.

He still thinks he is over 100 years old.

A Quick Visit

Stopped by today to drop off the Precious, deliver some clothes, and fix a lamp.

The lamp had already been fixed, I put the Precious in the fridge.

I sat down for a bit and Bob told me that his recliner was not working, a quick check showed that the power supply was not plugged in.

While sitting on the couch Bob told me how he discovered that there is another meal after it is dark.

We noted he had a fork in his shirt pocket, he said it was because his fork keeps disappearing!

I asked the attendants there about the late meal and they said that they give out a snack late at night, and told them about the fork. They will put some plastic dinner ware in his room.

Bob said that he would like it if I got him another gallon of the Precious, I told him that I already did and that I get him a gallon every week. He said "I did not know that". He then went to the fridge and verified that there really was more of the Precious in there.

He went to lunch and we escaped somehow.

THIEF! They stole "The Precious"!

My wife went to visit Bob yesterday evening and he informed her that someone had broken in to his apartment and STOLE his chocolate milk!
Yeeeeeaaaaaahhh.....
The staff had thrown it away because it was expired.

NOPE!

We went to visit Bob today to deliver his damn chocolate milk, and the baseball caps my wife had cleaned all the Bob juice off of.

When we got there they tried to hand us surgical masks and said that Bob and several other people had come down with something that was making them puke and poop, and did we really want to visit him?

Methuselah's Apartment

Lately Bob has been all incredulous about his age "did you know I am 76 years old?" No Bob you are 74 "yeah!". Then a week or so ago he was telling everyone he is 114! Today he told my wife he is 174!
Here is his apartment all furnished and decorated.

I cannot visit him without him saying something obnoxious. He suddenly decided that he needs to change out 3 pictures. The stitched picture of the fire truck (left of his bed), a picture of a train on a bridge (right of his bed), and the framed drawing of the crown fire engine (over the couch). So! am I going to do it?
No.
He has too much money in his account. The apartment complex did not take anything from his account for last month, the $2000 that he is supposed to pay for his part of the assisted living. Since he can't have more than $2000 in the bank total when they do take money out this month he will be over by almost $1000. So, we went to his apartment and looked at his clothes, anything stained or grungy we will get rid of. He also needed toiletries. We went to Walmart and bought him 3 cotton button up long sleeve shirts, a package of V neck XL T-shirts, some extra big socks, several pairs of pants, soap, wipes, and another set of sheets.

One of the Attendants told me that Bob prefers the company of the ladies and he practically snubs the one other guy there.
